Open Air Markets
Launched in September 2006 and running until 2009, Open Air established a strong reputation for creative lifestyle entertainment in Hong Kong. This initiative included various markets such as Borrett Road Market, Pokfulam Market, The Peak Galleria Market, Discovery Bay Market, PopUp Markets, and Moonlight Movies. The markets operated on a vendor subscription model, with careful vetting to ensure quality and design.
As the founder, I, along with three full-time employees, managed all facets of the organisation, including branding, marketing, sponsorship, staffing, licensing, logistics, vendor procurement, and promotion for these outdoor markets and cinemas. We introduced the first open-air arts and crafts weekend market, showcasing organic produce, homemade goods, art, clothing, antiques, and other specialty items to a Hong Kong audience eager for such experiences.
