Hong Kong Made This
I am truly passionate about Hong Kong, a city I have had the privilege of calling home since 2001. Over time I have developed a strong appreciation for and knowledge of the city's history and culture, and a commitment to preserving the cultural heritage of Hong Kong.
During 2018, this appreciation transformed into the creation of my archive @hongkongmadethis, where I showcase a captivating collection of all things meticulously crafted in the bustling city of Hong Kong.
Born in the workshops of Hong Kong artisans, many items have been carefully handcrafted using techniques passed down through generations. Skilled craftspeople poured their passion and expertise into every intricate detail, resulting in pieces that exude charm, character, and a sense of nostalgia.
These vintage treasures are testament to Hong Kong’s vibrant past as a thriving hub of trade and culture, and my collection includes ephemera, photographs, porcelain, handicrafts, textiles, publications, tableware, records, and postcards.
By acquiring and showcasing these vintage items I hope I’m contributing to the preservation of Hong Kong's cultural heritage and that their stories and legacy continue to be celebrated and remembered.
