Board Trustee

Trustee to the Board of Hong Kong Academy, 2012–16

Hong Kong Academy, founded in 2000 is a non-profit international through-train school located in Sai Kung in the New Territories.

During my time on the Board, I was also a member of the Advancement Committee. The Advancement Committee is responsible for supporting the school in its approaches to marketing, community development, fundraising and alumni relationships.

"As a group of committed parents, we work closely with the HKA leadership team to safeguard values such as inclusion, educational leadership, and of developing responsible and empowered learners that are prepared to face all future challenges. We have a clearly defined structure for governance and leadership that is formally articulated in approved policy, understood by all members of the community and reflected in practice. Both individually and collectively, the Board is clear in its three primary roles: to ensure Mission integrity in the operations of the school, to recruit and nurture the development of the Head of School and to ensure financial sustainability of the school's operational model".
